before that next Monday arrives?
Wake up your hope! Get focused, get unstuck, get a plan — and get moving toward the fulfilling and meaningful work life you really want. Discover your authentic career vision — even if you currently feel confused or downright lost about what it is. Use a fun, engaging, and uniquely creative approach to develop your career based on your key passions, values, and talents. If not now, when?
You may be a good candidate for lifework coaching if:
- Your work is burning you out, boring you, or depressing you — and it's been going on like this for longer than you'd like to admit.
- You're not sure where you are headed in your career and are ready to get some clarity and direction.
- You need a plan to reach your career goals.
- You need to get off your couch and start developing your career the way you want.
- You feel stuck about what to do to improve your work life.
- You want to change careers and aren't sure the best way to do it.
- You want to figure out if you just need a new boss or a new job or a whole new career.
2. Success Partner Coaching
Do you wake up and think that if you only had the right person to help you out just a little each week, you'd be in a different place
moving ahead a heck of a lot faster with your career goals? Then read about a program designed with you in mind
Whatever your work or career issue, if you could use someone to support you each week — someone to keep you on track, someone to offer creative solutions and options, someone to help you stay motivated — then this is the coaching program you've been hoping for.
Here are the 7 coaching opportunities you'll get each month that you enroll:
- Four weekly jumpstart phone calls (20 minutes each) to get you set for the week with the kind of practical steps and ideas you'll need.
- Three emailed questions whenever you need to ask them and my phone or email responses. (Emails can be used any time during the month.)
You might be a good candidate for Success Partner Coaching if:
- You know what you want to do with your career but need to focus and develop a weekly plan.
- You need motivation to keep moving ahead with your career plans or job search.
- You just need someone to talk to who can clear out the cobwebs about your job or career challenges.
3. Resume and Cover Letter Coaching and Writing
Does your resume stand out or when you read it, even you wonder why anyone would hire you? Can employers really tell what makes you a standout candidate for them or are they left with the usual platitudes and everyday job descriptions? Does your cover letter get people curious about you and your resume or does it sound like the other 50 they just finished reading? It might be time for a new, up to date resume and cover letter that will get you out of the slush pile and into an interview and job
Don't just send off a resume and "blah" cover letter and hope you’ll be called for an interview. A little more time and effort can make the difference between a resume reject and a standout resume, truly representing your best skills and accomplishments. We'll work together—not from some computer template—to customize a resume that focuses on the job you want and how you are qualified for it. I'll be picky and tough, but also give you lots of phrases, ideas, suggestions to make sure this is a great resume for you now.
You may be a good candidate for resume writing and coaching if:
- You want to speed up your job hunting process
- You want to get out of the slush pile for jobs you know you are qualified to do
- You want to have a resume that focuses the employer (and interview) on your accomplishments
- You want to update your resume so that it's ready in case something comes up—a job opportunity or a layoff.
4. Job Interview Coaching and Practice
Going to a job interview put butterflies in your stomach? Never know what to say to some of the questions? Wish you had some way to prepare other than go over your lines in your head or in front of a mirror, feeling artificial and awkward? Want to be really prepared without seeming scripted?
Most of us find job interviews stressful if not downright painful. Sometimes they seem to turn out OK. Other times, you know you blew it or you have know idea how you did until you aren’t hired. As with so many things in life, a little more preparation and practice—the right kind of preparation and practice—can make the difference. We'll spend time discussing the kind of job and company you are and determine your best approach. I'll answer your questions and give you ways to get ready for your practice interview, which I'll conduct. Afterwards, I'll help you see where you shine and where and HOW you can improve. How much is it worth to you to cut a few months off your jobseeking process? How much money do you lose by not getting that job now or settling for a less appealing job because you keep giving mediocre interviews?
You might be a good candidate for job interview coaching and practice if:
- You want a job that challenges you on a new level and isn’t just a repeat of your last job
- You want to save time in the jobseeking process, thereby earning money (thousands of dollars in most cases) that you otherwise don't get while unemployed
- You tend to be self conscious or overly nervous (everyone is at least a little nervous, which is OK) before or during job interviews
- You tend to wing it at interviews and often wind up stumbling over answers.
- You'd like to prepare and practice but aren't sure how to do it.
